More recently, inspired by the steady erosion of women’s rights, Deb has found her voice in creating compelling narratives with her art that combine feminist beauty and strength. Over the past 15 years, while honing her skills as an artist she has also been an active member of the East Mason Beautification Committee, beautifying street scapes with trees, plants and flowers. Dan Wieske Custom Wood Kitchenware & Functional Art Growing up in a household of professional chefs, Dan’s early life was filled with the creative clatter of spoons, spatulas, pots, and pans. Dan’s designs are inspired by nature’s flowing shapes, tactile surfaces, and subtle colors, as well as geometric influences like quilting patterns and mosaic tile work. With an eye for detail and the influence of his wife Karen, an art educator of over 30 years, Dan’s creations combine contrasting woods and refined design elements to produce functional showpieces for the home or business.
Faye is a Wisconsin artist whose work bursts with whimsy, vibrant color, and joyful storytelling. In her collage and mixed media pieces, she blends torn papers, vintage ephemera, and layers of paint—sometimes starting with a focal image, other times letting the story emerge organically. 40th & Plum Jewelry Studio-Donna Welhoefer The name 40th & Plum is a tribute to Donna’s father, who once described her home in Eagle River as “40 miles from nowhere and plum out in the sticks.” That sense of place, along with her lifelong love of nature, continues to inspire her designs. Donna’s passion for stones began as a child, combing the shores of Lake Superior with her family in search of agates. In 2012, she took her first sterling silver jewelry class at the Peninsula School of Art in Door County and was immediately captivated. Since then, she’s honed her craft through classes, workshops, and countless hours at the bench.
